Who is interested in this very challenging trek on the frozen Zanskar River in the Indian Himalaya, called Chadar. Average temperature during the day is minus 10. In the night, temperatures fall to minus 20C. With multiple layers you can beat the cold and enjoy the desolate and serene atmosphere of the changing landscapes of the river and the mountains.
But what sets it apart is its unique experience; the scenery, temperature, atmosphere, the frozen river, sledges, unusual camp sites in caves and the ever changing Chadar. The trek was so unique and beautiful that I want to go again this year, and I would like to share with a few like-minded people who can stand the basic circumstances and who like this big adventure.
Start of the journey Feb 5th from Delhi. For additional information please feel free to contact me. The journey begins with a nice colorful monastery festival and when you come back you can see another Buddhist festival too.
